Hello Ashley. Just wanted you to know we miss you here at Honda, but I know that you are very happy to be home with Lawson. I hope all is well. Please continue to update the website.
Love you guys very much
and have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Hi Ashley, Eric, and Lawson,
It is so wonderful to see the daily improvements! I am so sorry to hear about your friends in the NICU. I wanted you to know that I met one of your nurses in the Santa Claus line at the Galleria last Wednesday- She went on and on about how sweet little Lawson is, and how much they love to spoil him! I didn't get her name, but she has little twin boys- so cute! I know that you already feel the love there, but I thought I would pass this on anyways! You are in our thoughts and prayers!
I am just totally amazed each time I receive new pictures. Isn't God good! I know it has been a rough road for you all but yet again you have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.... a precious new baby, friends and family who believe in the power of prayer and the power of God! Know that I pray for you and that I love you all! Keep the pictures and the updates coming!
I've been a silent reader of the website for weeks now but have been praying LOUDLY for you all. I am so happy to see the good news and sweet new pictures. It looks like you are all doing so well and I feel blessed just thinking of your strength and knowing that your wonderful family is in the world. My best to you now and always!
Eric, Ashley and Lawson,
I pray everything is well today. We grow tired and wonder sometimes if we can go on but with faith in God we know we can. Just remember the words in Isaiah 40:29-31
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
God Bless and Lawson we are praying for you young man.
Eric and Ashley
I cannot tell you how much you guys have been on my heart. The strength and character you guys exhibit every day on this journey is amazing. Your little boy is truely miraculous..WHAT A FIGHTER! My thoughts and prayers are with you guys..hang in there.
Hi Ashley and Eric! My mom sent me your website. I think Terra sent it to her. I am brought to tears. I feel your pain and heartache as you watch your child go through such a struggle. You probably don't even feel it thoroughly now. I don't know if you know much about our road with Lily, but I DO know what if feels like to go home every day without your baby and come back every day just to look at him and hope that it's ok to hold him that day. You will learn so much through this experience. People will ask you "How do you do it?" and you'll say "Last I checked, I didn't get a chance." You do what you have to do and pray that God keeps you going and gives you another day towards a healthy baby. I'm praying for you and am so glad my mom let me know about sweet baby Wood. Please call me or email if you want someone to talk to ANYTIME: 251.990.4804 or email@example.com. Please know I'm praying and would love to talk if you need to. Leigh Ann (Stone) DeLaney

Ashley, Reading your daily updates brings back memories. My family experienced the NICU roller coaster beginning last January 10 when our precious granddaughter, Riley, was born at 24 weeks. She weighed 1 lb. 15 oz. She was on and off the ventilator, like Lawson. She had surgery to close the valve in her heart. She was in the NICU for over 3 months! She is now almost 10 months old and weighs 18 lb. 10 oz. She is progressing well according to the doctors and shows no lasting problems because of her premature birth. I know God is watching over your precious baby boy and I pray that soon you will be able to bring him home and smother him with love!!
As so many other people have started their words of encouragement, so will I.... You don't know me, but Melissa has shared the story of sweet Lawson with me from the day he was born. You and Eric are such an inspiration to all parents. Your focus on faith and strength is a daily reminder to me to cherish the moments we have with our children. There are many people here on the MS gulf coast who hold you three and your families in prayer. Please know our love flows to you - even if it is through a computer monitor.
I know Lawson will love to see the archive you have put together here of his journey when he's old enough to understand. What a great mommy and daddy he has!
Peace and love of Christ,
Dear Ashley & Eric,
You guys have an amazing bond that will only deepen as you love and raise Lawson together. I am so thrilled to know that two such deserving people have found each other and created this beautiful little miracle.
Daily love and prayers,
My name is Carolyn Taylor and I work with Amanda Rutledge and she has been giving me updates on Little Lawson. He has been in my prayers since she told me the news that he was born premature. My husband and I just went through some of the same things you guys are going through. My daughter Kaitlyn Taylor was born March 21, 2005 at 23wks 1lb 5oz at Brookwood. Lawson could not be in a better place than the NICU at Brookwood. The doctors and nurse there are very loving and caring people. My heart goes out to you all and your family. All I can say is hang in there and pray b/c Gods is watching over you litte Angel and know he will be home soon. Kaitlyn now weighs about 14 or 15lbs. She is not on any medication nor did she have any major surgery other than the laser surgery on her eyes which she is having no problem seeing. I am telling you all this to say that God is good just have faith in Him and all of your prayers will be answered. It is a long road but hang in there and I pray that Little Lawson will be home soon.
Dear Ashley and Eric,
It seems like I know you, hearing Mitzi talk about you both, and especially Lawson. You have all been in my prayers since his birth. Thank you for posting his pictures on the website, Mitzi gave me the address this morning. I wish you all the best and pray he'll be home with you for the Holiday season. By the way, I work with Mitzi at Arab City Schools.
After all you been through Ewood, I know lawson is going to be all right. He's got that fighting Wood blood in him.
Just keep reading the sports page to him, let him know how good ol cox is, and how Kenny Irons is going to win the heisman next year and he will continue to improve. We'll have him saying war eagle by next fall.....
You 3 hang in there and let us know if you need anything
Dear Eric, Ashley & family
